The Society would like to announce that two positions are available to contribute to the governance of the Nutrition Society. These positions include the Advisory Council Member for Public Health and Whole Body Metabolism (WBM) Theme Leader.
Advisory Council Member for Public Health vacancy:
The Advisory Council supports the Board of Trustees in its decision making process. The role and function is to bring the views and opinions of the membership to the attention of the Trustees, and act as the members’ voice in matters that affect them. Different areas of nutrition are represented by different members of the Advisory Council. Each lead their area of interest and represents the views of the membership.
Following the annual election process in July 2018 the Advisory Council Member for Public Health position remained vacant.
In accordance with the Rules of the Nutrition Society the Trustees will seek to appoint a member of the Society to the vacancy as soon as practical. Such appointments will be valid until the next Annual Charity Meeting in July 2019, whereupon the appointments will be ratified by the membership for a further two years.

Whole Body Metabolism (WBM) Theme Leader vacancy:

These themes include Cellular and Molecular Nutrition (CMN), Public Health Nutrition (PHN) and Whole Body Metabolism (WBM). Each Theme is led by a Theme Leader who acts as a direct link between the membership and the Society's Science Committee. They liaise with, and represent the interests of, Nutrition Society members.
The position for Whole Body Metabolism (WBM) Theme Leader is currently vacant. Read the full job description.
