This conference will draw together experts in the area of diet and cancer survivorship. To date, relative to cancer incidence, the evidence base is weak for understanding the role of diet and physical activity in promoting health and reducing cancer recurrence in people after their treatment. There are emerging and interesting narratives around obesity as a risk factor, and physical activity, caffeine and animal protein as protective factors.
The conference will highlight examples of best practice in nutritional oncology, and identify opportunities in the patient’s clinical pathway for nutritional/dietary trials and interventions.
