Overview
This inaugural member-led meeting for the Novel Nutrition Research Methodologies and Technologies theme brings together researchers from nutrition and dietetics, psychology, and computer science to explore how digital innovations are transforming the landscape of nutrition science.
Focusing on technologies such as large language models, AI-driven dietary counselling, just-in-time digital nudges, and virtual intervention delivery, the event highlights both the opportunities and challenges of integrating these approaches into research and practice. Delivered online, this meeting serves as a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, critical discussion, and the development of collaborative networks within this emerging and impactful field.
Aims:
- To explore emerging digital technologies and methodologies used in nutrition research and practice.
- To foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration between researchers.
- To strengthen engagement with the Nutrition Society’s new theme on Novel Nutrition Research Methodologies and Technologies.
