At the home of evidence-based nutrition science, The Nutrition Society understands the important role that nutrition plays in human health. With the mounting burden of non-communicable diseases on the population, it is more important than ever to assess and understand the role that nutrition can play in primary care, if integrated correctly.
This member-led meeting, hosted by the Society's Medical Working Group, will bring together the latest findings from nutrition research, and give insight into how this knowledge is transferred to primary care practice. Understand the importance of nutrition education throughout the training pathway, and learn about the advances in nutrition across the lifespan before assessing the current challenges and controversies faced when it comes to nutrition in primary care.
With support from the Royal College of General Practitioners Northern Ireland, this informal meeting is a great opportunity for medics, GPs, practitioners, Dietitian's and nutrition professionals, to come together to discuss the multidisciplinary approach to optimising and integrating nutrition interventions into primary care.
