The Nutrition Society Irish Section are delighted to be hosting the Irish Section Postgraduate Conference at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone. This interactive and diverse conference has been designed specifically to provide postgraduate students with a platform to share current research with peers and colleagues and network with the wider nutrition community. Students will also have the chance to attend career talks given by guest speakers and build their professional skills. The programme will be complimented by social functions including ice breakers and a conference gala dinner.

An oral communication session is allocated to provide attendees the opportunity to practice presenting their work in front of like minded individuals. There will be no formal abstract submission, instead delegates will submit the title of their presentation and indicate if they wish to present for three-minutes or eight-minutes at the time of the registration. Three-minute presentations are intended for students who wish to present an overview of their PhD but haven’t yet any results. Ten-minute presentations should follow scientific presentation format and include results.

The number of oral communication submissions has increased year on year at the Postgraduate Conference, and the organisers want to facilitate as many students as possible in presenting their work.

Please note that registration closes on 14/02/2024 at 2:00pm

Any students attending alone or for the first time and would like a conference buddy, please sign up HERE.
