The Nutrition Society Irish Section are delighted to be hosting the Irish Section Postgraduate Conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast.

This supportive, interactive and diverse event has been specifically tailored to provide postgraduate students with a platform to share current research with peers, colleagues and academics. Additionally, students will also attend career talks given by guest speakers and have the opportunity to network with fellow nutrition professionals. The conference aims to expand knowledge, build professional skills and help gain insights from various perspectives.

Student presentations

The conference will feature oral presentations, designed to provide student attendees the chance to present their work to peers, in a comfortable and supportive environment. Instead of submitting a formal abstract, delegates wishing to present should detail the title of their presentation and choose between a three-minute or ten-minute presentation slot when registering for the conference*.

*The organising committee will facilitate as many oral presentations as possible.

The three-minute presentations are designed for students who want to share an overview of their research without presenting results. In the ten-minute presentations, results are presented, and a scientific presentation format should be followed.

Social functions

Social functions are always an integral part of the postgraduate conference. The programme will include a drinks reception, an ice breaker session and a conference gala dinner!

The program will be posted online soon.

The conference is an in-person event.
