Public Health England (PHE) have revised guidelines on vitamin D intake based on the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition’s (SACN) scientific literature review on vitamin D and health. To protect bone and muscle health, they recommend vitamin D intakes equivalent to an average of 10 micrograms per day with supplementation where necessary.
