Sport nutrition

This Sport and Exercise Nutrition SIG will align with objectives 1-3 of The Society's strategic plan. Our field is fast moving which appeals to a fast growing audience. However, the field is informed by a combination of excellent science and pseudo-science. This SIG will showcase the highest quality evidence-based science (priority 1) to educate members around the importance of critical evaluation in nutritional sciences.

The career path for Sport Nutrition graduates is not clear cut. This SIG will provide members with access to sport and exercise nutrition professionals working in academia, professional sport, industry and the Ministry of Defence (priority 2). We have approached a variety of inspirational speakers to share insights regarding their career journey with interested members.

Finally, this SIG will enhance the visibility of The Nutrition Society in Sports Nutrition through alignment with other reputable organisations such as SENr, PINES and ISENC.
